Purpose

The Language Cloud Knowledge Centre is a curated educational and reference resource developed by the First Nations Education Foundation (FNEF). Its purpose is to provide practical information, guidance, and context related to Indigenous language revitalization, language infrastructure, digital preservation, educational resource development, Indigenous Data Sovereignty, speech technologies, publishing, community planning, and emerging artificial intelligence applications. This Knowledge Centre was created to support Indigenous communities, language departments, educators, leadership, researchers, funders, and technology partners seeking to better understand the opportunities and challenges associated with language revitalization in the digital age.
